A Pocket Full of DreamsThis book takes place in multiple places in the city of San Francisco. It starts off in a coffee shop and then moves over to her apartment where the story really starts, she starts to describe some of the city, like her apartment and a restaurant that is near a cliff that used to have a public pool close by. She set the place with a bit too much detail on the small things but misses large details like what year, or how old she was, anything that would help describe the larger big picture.
I know she will get hurt by her boyfriend from the time and she will stay with him for longer then she should have. From reading it so far I can tell she will regret things that she both did and did not do. The book will continue to describe small details but miss major ones. She will eventual escape this situation but it is going to take much longer then it should. They have not been that important yet, the story can happen anywhere but the places that she goes too could be important in the continuation of her story. I think the places she goes now will be very important because she might not be able to go to them later on. Knowing how abusive relationships work and when people start to be controlling they tend to not let them go to places they used to go to fine.

What I am afraid of is something that is neither alive or nor moves. It is in almost every home, its a must use in a normal life. Most people see it as harm less, but not I. When it is done the large mouth opens up and presents what it has made. The scorching hot air that comes at you as if it had malicious intent when its mouth is opened. The low hum that is heard in the background while it is creating what ever you have forced it too. It is a slave to who ever turns it on, having things shoved in and slowly pulled out of its massive mouth. This fear I have is rational and I know it, this fear is an oven.
How did they keep beer cold in the Saloons of the Old West? One day in the middle of a glade in Texas there was a saloon that sold beer, now this was not no ordinary, no, it was cold beer. It was a place where many churlish and bellicose men spent their days. Every Wednesday the towns fiduciary would come and visit for one of the cold beers, for how they made them cold no one could figure out. Many men acted fatuous to try and get to the back to see how, but that never worked. Until one day a hubris and gauche cowboy walked in and asked for a beer, the second he touched the glass his face lit up with an irreconcilable expression and asked the bartender if he had used the Glosmoth method for serving it cold. The bartender was stunned, he could not fathom how this man had not only figured out his method, but with only a touch of the glass. He asked the man how he figured out by only a touch of the glass, his respond with, "The glass is colder on the top meaning you left the beer in the water upside down so that when you took it out of the water and into the ice chamber (a box made out of a very thick stone that is placed into the ground to hold ice) that it would even out the contact with the ice on the bottom so all parts are even in temperature. There is something eccentric about the way you did it."
Why are barns red?"Is every one ready" said James to the fatuous teens in the barn. They were meeting to talk about the plan to abjure their religion of blue, where everything must be painted blue. Their first act to show their bellicose was to pain all of the barns red. In this Churlish act they went around the town at night and painted all of the barns red, and made sure to evanescent as soon as they were done with each one.
"I have a question" said the youngest boy in the barn, "Why are we painting the barns red?" James responded with, "Because it is the unholy colour as the local priests have inculcate to us so many times." "What will get out of this, because I don't think it will enfranchise anyone?", said the diffident girl in the back. For this no one in the barn had an answer, the room was completely silent for the remainder of the night. That is why all barns are now painted red. Why do pirates bother making prisoners or enemies "walk the plank" instead of just chucking them overboard?Pirates are eccentric individuals, they follow no decree and have no reason to. They irreconcilable and often petulant to who ever they speak to. They are Omnipotent where ever they go, and can do what ever they want and clout anyone who goes against them.
Captain Jack was known as the scariest pirate around, he has been in the business since he could walk. He could wield a sword before he could talk, this was the legend that he left, but not only did he leave the tails of him but tails about what he did to the people he captured. Any one he found to be Ignominious he would make them walk the plank so show that he does not approve of people who bring disgrace to their own people. He did this to instill fear on people and leave a mark on the people where ever he went. He always did it where plenty of people could see this event. To this day his legend lives on strong. I though the discussion went very well today there were times when I found the conversation confusing because the point the people were making did not make sense. The Promoters tried to put all the blame on other people when something was there fault. The most important points talked about were when we talked about how the colonist and the natives treated each other. There was not just one group that successfully presented their points but I can tell you it was not the Promoters. The topics we covered was how people were starving, how they did not want to be here, how the natives and colonist treated each other, how the promoters were at fault for almost everything, and setting up a proposal for trade.
There were two girls schmoozing in the local cafe, one of the girls was looking at the gaffer on the other side of the room. She saw a man that was slimsy and notice something was bereft with him, but should could not tell what. The girls were coeval with each other and had met when they were 12. Back then they both had a quiddity of telling taradiddles. Many of these were hard to fathom or were told to allude an answer to questions they would be asked. They tried for many years to integrate theme selves into other friend groups but there enigmatic personalities pushed everyone away. These two were not fungible any group that came to the cafe, they would sit for hours both talking and in silence watching the others walk out of the weald right in front of the cafe.
I did not really notice any patterns besides they are all historical items, either painting or sculpture. I did not really pay attention to them but I liked the cameras from the museum. I don't really have any questions besides how do they all look so nice. I don't really see how it connects to the project, it did not really confirm anything and it kinda just made me more confused. Something I noticed was that they would keep the painting and artifacts relative to each other in the same room/s, they also had different styles of how it was curated depends on the topic. It was put on by one person and left a lot to the imagination, many motions and everything was over exaggerated and it seemed to be a very simple story that children could enjoy.
This field trip did not really help with understanding our project and I am still confused on the reason behind it. This trip did not help clarify anything form the activities and how they all connect but the main theme I saw was that everything was from local. Something I noticed was that they different museums where curated differently to target different groups of people, the history center was aimed for children and adults but you could tell the difference. The first area we went into was clearly made for kids with the different activities and the small chairs at the tables and videos, along with the objects just laying around. The second part was more for adults and had the objects behind glass and paintings of the walls, there was also different areas with pedestals and objects on top of them. The last place we went was the San Diego art museum and that was aimed more towards older people, it was almost silent and the art was organised and curated very differently compared to the history center. All the paintings had a short bio about it or the author and there was a lot of time put into making them look nice and clean. The puppet show really did leave a lot to the imagination and helped to remind me that children have a much more wild imagination when it comes to everything. It also reminded me that you need to over exaggerate everything a bit too much, you may think its over the top but kids like it better that way. I though the puppet show was interesting I was not expecting it do be done by one person but that really made it what it was, it was interesting that he had been working on this one since Monday but has been doing the same play for 7 years. I really enjoyed looking at what the object look like today or what would have looked like back then. I am interested it how they managed to keep everything is such a great shape how they repaired it too look like that again, because not many people are still alive from when those objects were from. I really liked the cameras because they look a lot like the ones I have and old mechanical object really interest me, seeing how everything was made back then and comparing it to similar object from modern days. I think I will really like this year from the first week. We have work and so far it has not been just filler work or nonsense. I am looking forward to learning something new?? I am really nervous about internship and SAT. I am really excited about american history this year and I think that the annotations we have been doing are interested. I don't really like doing annotations but this for sure will be a challenge for me. I would really like help with grammar and spelling.
After this activity my mind was not changed because I am already interested in all kinds of history. My favorite is about governmental scandals and how nations came to be along with how wars end and start. I also find the different ways history is and was recorded and how it has changed with the new technology and how it has also stayed so much of the same throughout the centuries. Something that I for sure do not want to talk about this year in school is the happenings of WWII and the holocaust. But I would love to learn about the governmental secrets that have been released over the years and how it is actually run. I would also like to learn about smaller wars between militias and some sort of larger army. I want to learn about the history and engineering behind modern weaponry.
